#ThePowerOfHome: New Campaign Highlights Importance of Housing During Public Health Week

To coincide with Public Health Week (April 2-8), the Richmond City Health District launched The Power of Home, a coordinated social media campaign to highlight the impact that housing has on our health.

The health district is on a mission to expose and address the root causes of health disparities by partnering with communities and organizations that seek to do the same. This week, they are uniting to shine a light on the power of home to shape our health, our opportunities, and Richmond’s ability to evolve and grow as a city.

Here are just some of the examples of social media posts that partner organizations have published this week. The campaign also includes podcasts, and articles in local newspapers.

Think your community might benefit from a similar campaign? Contact Housing Virginia, or email George.Jones@vdh.virginia.gov and use the subject “The Power of Home Campaign.”
